Privacy Policy
Overmana is a game for Android and iOS. The game is free, and one in-app purchase unlocks the full version. It has no accounts or sign-in, no ads, no analytics and no in-game chat, and it does not send your data to us. This policy explains what little data is involved and who handles it. If the Polish and English versions differ, the Polish version prevails. [confirm with lawyer]
In short
- Your progress is saved only on your phone.
- The game does not collect personal data and does not connect to our servers or to the internet itself.
- No ads, no advertising ID, no analytics or tracking tools.
- You buy the full version in Google Play or the App Store. The store handles the payment; we never see your card details or your store account.
- Google Play and the App Store, which you install the game from, process data under their own policies.
Data controller
The controller of your personal data is [publisher’s full name or company name], [address], [tax ID, if applicable] — the publisher of the game on Google Play and the App Store, trading as Wumiko (“we”).
For any privacy matter, email privacy@wumiko.games or use the Help & contact page. We have not appointed a data protection officer.
What data is involved
- Game progress — your bond with each heroine, best results, the heroine you last chose, settings and whether the full version is unlocked. Stored only on your phone; the game never sends it to us or anyone else. It is removed when you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Device backup — if backup is turned on in your phone’s settings, Android may include the game’s save in your Google account backup, and iOS in your iCloud or computer backup, so it can be restored on a new phone. This is a feature of the system and your Google or Apple account, not of the game; we have no access to it. [confirm Android backup setting in the app]
- Google Play and the App Store — when you download, update or review the game, Google or Apple processes data such as your account, device and purchase history as an independent controller. If you allow it in your phone’s settings, Google may also share crash reports and technical diagnostics with us through the Google Play Console, and Apple through App Store Connect (including TestFlight, if you test the game). These reports do not tell us who you are; we use them only to fix bugs.
- Full version purchase — Google Play (Google) or the App Store (Apple) handles the purchase and payment as an independent controller. We don’t see your card details, address or store account. The game only stores on your phone that the full version is unlocked. When it starts, it asks the store app on your phone about your account’s purchases, so it can restore the full version (for example on a new phone or after reinstalling) or switch it off after a refund; that answer stays on your phone and doesn’t reach us. In the Google Play Console and App Store Connect we see orders and sales reports (for example order number, product, country and amount). [confirm which buyer data the consoles show]
- Contacting us — if you email us, we process your email address, the message and anything you attach (e.g. phone model, screenshot).
The game does not request access to your location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or files, and does not collect your name, email address or advertising ID.
Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|
| Fixing bugs using crash reports and diagnostics from Google Play and Apple | legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) (a game that works) |
| Selling the full version, refunds and complaints | performance of a contract — Art. 6(1)(b) |
| Tax and accounting records of sales | legal obligation — Art. 6(1)(c) |
| Answering messages, handling complaints | legitimate interests — Art. 6(1)(f) |
Game progress and the purchase status stay on your device and are not processed by us. We do not sell or share personal data, and we do not make decisions about you based on automated processing.
Recipients
- Google Ireland Ltd. and Google LLC — Google Play, in-app purchases and Android backup, as independent controllers. On Android, Google’s in-app purchase library inside the game sends Google its own diagnostic data about purchases working; the game has no access to it and otherwise does not connect to the internet. [confirm the scope with Google’s documentation] Google Privacy Policy.
- Apple Distribution International Ltd. and Apple Inc. — the App Store, in-app purchases and iCloud backup, as independent controllers. Apple Privacy Policy.
- Google Workspace — our email is hosted by Google, which processes messages you send us as our processor.
We disclose data to public authorities only where the law requires it.
Transfers outside the EEA
Google and Apple may process data in the United States and other countries outside the European Economic Area. Transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework) or the Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long data is kept
- Game progress: on your phone until you uninstall the game or clear its data.
- Crash reports in the Google Play Console and App Store Connect: for the period Google or Apple keeps them under its policy.
- Order data from the Google Play Console and App Store Connect: as long as tax and accounting law requires (usually 5 years from the end of the tax year). [confirm with the accountant]
- Correspondence: until the matter is resolved and for one year after, so we can show how it was handled.
- Data held by Google or Apple as an independent controller: according to their policies.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data (Art. 15 GDPR), rectify it (Art. 16), erase it (Art. 17), restrict processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21).
Because the game has no accounts and sends nothing to us, we hold no game data about you. You can delete everything the game stores by uninstalling it or clearing its data — see How do I delete my data? Uninstalling does not cancel the purchase: the full version stays with your store account and comes back when you reinstall. Refunds and purchase history are handled by Google Play or Apple. For emails you sent us, write to privacy@wumiko.games. We reply within one month.
You may lodge a complaint with the Polish supervisory authority, the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warsaw, uodo.gov.pl), or with the authority in the country where you live or work.
Children
The game collects no personal data from any player, whatever their age. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, let us know and we will delete it. In-app purchases are covered by the store’s own safeguards, such as Google Play parental controls or Apple’s Screen Time and Ask to Buy.
Changes
If the game ever starts processing more data (for example cloud saves), we will update this policy before that version is released. We publish the current version and its date on this page.
